I broke into tech sales and got promoted from SDR to AE at Deel, a global unicorn, in about a year. The SDR Accelerator gave me the exact playbook to position myself and stand out in a company where everyone smashes quota.

I first invested in Higher Levels through the Ascension program in late 2024 when I was trying to break into tech sales, and it laid the foundation that got me into Deel. The moment I landed the SDR role, I reinvested into the SDR Accelerator. I didn't want to wing my promotion. I wanted a clear plan for becoming an AE from day one, and the program gave me exactly that. Having a roadmap early meant I always knew what I was working toward instead of navigating blind.

What was the most valuable part of the program to you?

The course knowledge applies no matter where you are in the world, which mattered a lot for me building an outbound program from scratch at Deel. But the biggest unlock was the section on navigating the work environment. It taught me to build real relationships with AEs and leaders, and to work out loud so people actually witness your contribution instead of grinding in a corner. That's how I got the VP of Sales to put me on the AE roadmap, and how the next VP, who was internal, already knew my work. The mentorship calls every two weeks kept me sharp the whole way through.

What was the most valuable part of the engagement?

Get it. It's worth the investment, full stop. Without it I wouldn't have known how to position myself or what to focus on. And understand this: smashing quota gets you into the conversation, but it doesn't set you apart. At a place like Deel, if you're not over-performing, you're not performing. An AE told me being a strong outbounder is stock standard, so I asked myself what makes me different. I went all in on learning AI and building it into our workflows to help the whole team. That's what showed there was more to me than just hitting a number, and that's what got me promoted.
