I didn’t go to college, came from the restaurant industry, and still landed a tech sales role because I finally treated my preparation seriously. When the opportunity showed up, I was ready.

I was 20 years old, didn’t go to college, and had been working in the restaurant industry since I was 16. I knew I wanted a career change but didn’t want to take on student debt, and I didn’t come from a very affluent background. I spent a lot of time researching tech sales on YouTube and came across other programs, but what stood out about Higher Levels was the authenticity. After watching your content and seeing how honest you were about the career, I trusted that this was real, practical training and not hype. I wanted a path where the skills I learned in restaurants could actually translate into a real career.

What was the most valuable part of the program to you?

The biggest value was learning how to position myself correctly and actually prepare for opportunities when they showed up. I optimized my LinkedIn using the Ascension frameworks and advice, which led to recruiters reaching out to me directly. I also learned how to think through interviews like real sales conversations instead of just answering questions. Once I stopped procrastinating and actually put in the work, everything clicked. The course gave me structure, confidence, and a clear understanding of how to prepare so that when the right opportunity came, I didn’t miss it.

Don’t procrastinate and don’t be lazy. You never know when a recruiter is going to reach out with a big opportunity, and you want to be ready when that happens. I didn’t even apply for the job I ended up getting. It came through LinkedIn. Optimize your profile, follow the process, stay active in the Higher Levels community, and actually put in the reps. If you prepare consistently, opportunities will come your way.
