I came from an engineering background and realized pretty quickly that sitting alone coding all day was not for me. I enjoy talking to people and doing consultative work where I can help solve problems. I explored a few different paths, including insurance sales, coding, and product management, but none of them fully clicked. After taking an aptitude test and doing more research, tech sales stood out as the right fit. Higher Levels felt like the obvious choice because Eric came from engineering too and was talking about the exact challenges I was going through. The content was relatable, practical, and credible.
What was the most valuable part of the program to you?
Before Higher Levels, I was taking shots in the dark. I was using generic answers, relying too much on AI, and not truly understanding how to interview well. I got interviews at good companies through referrals but completely bombed them because I was nervous, reading off notes, and not confident. The program helped me fail fast, iterate, and actually understand what interviewers are looking for at each stage. Everything I experienced in mid and final round interviews was exactly what the course prepared me for, including outbound strategy exercises and how to stand out to hiring managers.

Overprepare and practice as much as possible. Confidence comes from repetition and preparation, not luck. The more interviews you go through, the more you believe what you are saying, and that shows. I created a 30 day plan for Rippling that outlined exactly what I would do in the role, and that is what made me stand out and get hired on the spot. If you follow the process and put in the work, the results will come.
